The Ides - By Saroja

Hi! "The Ides" of March is famously known as the day that Julius Caesar was warned. It represents a constant feeling of anxiety and dread that something bad will happen. This song is about that feeling perpetuating no matter how good life is going, and the experience of being worried of what could come next when you are already satisfied with what you have.
Hope you like it!

A Toast - By Saroja

Hi! I’m so glad you found your way here. A Toast is my first step into songwriting, and it means a lot to have you listening. This song has a special place in my heart, it carries the general meaning of looking back on the past and accepting what has become. I tried to allow the interpretation to be vague, because I want every listener to be able to hear their own personal story being told to them as they listen!

I’m Saroja, a 17-year-old high school junior. I play piano and guitar and have been singing for as long as I can remember! I started out taking piano lessons, back when I was eight years old, and everyday when I walked into my lesson my teacher would be singing on the piano while waiting for me. One day, I asked her, instead of sticking to the sheet music like I had always done, if I could learn how to sing and play just like she did. Ever since that day, I took my love for singing and expanded it, learning every song I could, until now, where I've began to write my own! I hope you enjoy my very first single, A Toast, and connect with it in your own way just as I did!
